nsca-ng-server software package provides Monitoring command acceptor, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install nsca-ng-server
nsca-ng-server is installed in your system.
Make ensure the nsca-ng-server package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep nsca-ng-server *
You will get with nsca-ng-server package name, version, architecture and description in a table
